My name is Iris. I am the wife of an amazing Husband of 17 years. The mother of four wonderful girls (all grown and gone.) And 12 even greater grand children (moving ever so fast towards adulthood.)

No,life is not a box of chocolates it is more like this huge roller coaster and we just roll with the twist and move on. You cannot control people or things, only how you react to the person or situation.

Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall

Another who was way ahead of his time.  Strange though at this time some people were ready to listen.  They realized that our schools and society were brain washing our children.  Children were not given the chance to become who they wanted to be.  They were told how to think, what was acceptable and how they would act.
Today some parents will not let children be them selves.  They want them to be someone they are not. They are not allowed to speak their opinions or think for themselves.  Some of the greatest musicians have had long hair and looked like hell.  But they were happy and could carry on a conversation without fear of their parents or society.
My generation and those before me had a wonderful array of free thinkers.  They were allowed to make decisions and if it was wrong they had to suffer the consequences.  But you know there really was no right or wrong.  Everyone accepted you and what you believed in.  If you thought you could be a astronaut then so be it and president was not out of reach either.
Today its drug them and dumb them down.  And parents follow protocol just like good little soldiers. Never once considering the long term ramifications of the medications.  In twenty years what will have happened to your childs body because of the medications you went along and put them on  when they were young.  Will they have heart or kidney trouble?  Will they have pea soup for a brain because they were put on experimental drugs.    Most parents never stop to think its the fact that we have a government controlled school system that requires large numbers of children to sit under the instruction of one teacher.  The kids have to be managed.  And what better way.  I really fear for the little soldiers of todays society.
Most schools are medicating children at an alarming rate.  If there is not a reason to be on drugs there will be soon.  As the video shows they are making hash out of our childrens minds.

World Peace One Person at a Time.

Have you ever considered that world peace would solve 95% of the crisis today?  Probably not if you are like the millions out there that like drama.  Now, I am  not a dramatic person.  I do however stand up wholeheartedly for what i believe in.

As a small child my grandmother and I used to set on the foot of the bed and watch tv, snap bean, shell peas, or sew.   It was time that was special just to us.  We would talk about current and future event.  But no matter what, you should hold to what you believe.  If you feel it, stick to it.  And I wholeheartedly feel that with unity we could beat the current crisis of the world if people united as one.
When you have a angry and desperate world as we currently do, things get blown out of per portion. Someone may say your mama wears combat boot and here we go full fledged drama has started over a stupid quote.  Get real here.  Or you may be wearing your feelings on your sleeve and being in a vulnerable state.  And believe me I am the worlds worst.  I forget to say no to drama.

There is a sight that i found very helpful.  A complaint free world was started on the primes that it takes 21 days to get rid of a bad habit.  They believe that if you go 21 days without complaining or being negative that you can master this. Give it a try it is free.  www.acomplaintfreeworld.org

I am sitting here looking for world peace sites as I type.  I found it very strange that nearly everyone that came up on a google search had to do with government or money.  Now that being said.  I am not anti government.  I am for limited government. I am not against money either but believe that credit is bad and  money is the root of evil and yes you need money.  Or do you?  There is a such thing as barter.  Bartering is a completely free way of obtaining what you need or want.  Barter works like this.  I need tomatoes and you have them.  You need squash we trade and we are both happy and it did not cost a penny.  Now this may take a while to find a network but hey we can find Mickey d's and wally world surely we can do this.
Another way is to leave the mainstream crap behind.  Stop buying into the whole OH you need this or that.  No you don't, you want it.  You want it because it is new and cool.  And so does all the other impulse buyers in the world.  The I phone is a perfect example.  $200.00 for a cell phone with a two year contract..  It has no insurance available, the plans cost more and it just does not make sense.  Yes they are cool but I have seen my own daughter saying I cannot live without my I phone.  REALLY, are you kidding me.
New vehicles,  Now my husband is the worst.  He really believes that i need a new car.  I do not.  I would have been just happy with my mustang.  But no he wanted me to get rid of it.  It really did not make sense.  we gave up a vehicle that was paid for to get one that had huge payments.  Now that made no sense what so ever.  But he was afraid I was going to kill myself in the mustang.  Once the realization hit it was like "what have we done." Now I am unhappy because we have pmts again.  Our wants have way over shadowed the needs for a long time and I am working hard to correct that.
Now lets all get on the same page and see how many ideas we can come up with and implement to work towards a world that is stress free and happy.  Can we each do  (starting slowly) two random acts on kindness daily.  And preferably make then to an actual human you do not know.

Until next time Have a Happy and productive year.

Back in the Day

I find it so crazy today that the government runs our lives.  CPS dictates how we raise our children, The local government tells us what we can do with the property we own, The state government generally tells us when a perfectly good car is ready to retire.  There are so many instances that it is astonishing.

I was at the library the other day and noticed a desk full of advertising.  When I went to see what it was i immediately got mad.  And I am thinking well our tax dollars really are at work. There were also many adoption flyers.  Then I overheard a lady talking about the schools having a CPS worker on staff  in every school.  Now yes in some instances this is good.  There are legitimate abused children, true physical abuse.  Today it does not even have to be physical.  It can be screaming at them, It can be playing and saying something like you are a nut case, all the child has to say is yea they said it.  And boom the kids are taken and placed in foster care.  And generally adopted out.
The state wins because they get BIG tax dollars for every child they place in foster care, with people who are paid by the government to babysit the kids.  Then there are adoption incentives.  Big money again, to get these kids adopted.  The government in ever state in the US  is making so much money off the lives of children.  Off of hurting families.  It is legalized child trafficking.

Now lets talk about the effect on the children.  A child is raised with the parents who bore them.   Good or bad they are loved and they know this.  They have everything they need.  Maybe not everything they want.  But hey.  The house is not spotless, the kids are fed and bathed, they have friends and a routine.  Then the CPS worker at the school takes the children from the school.  You are devastated.  If you ever are to see your children again you you are to go to counseling where you are told from the begining the children will be adopted out. That you will never see them again. And the spiral down begins.  You are given a PSYC EVAL, and mandatory drug tests, even though you have never had a dirty test.   You are not allowed to contact the children or even tell them bye.  You never see your children again.  And why?  Because the state is to concerned with making money.  Not fixing anything that could possibly be wrong. And this is all done in THE BEST INTEREST OF THE STATE.  Not the Child.

The child/children now have disabilities they have never had.  (Can't get federal funding for the state without a problem.)  They are then drugged into submission.  By the state paid physicians who are treating them for this new problem.  The child is so devastated.  A whole family has been wiped from their lives.  No more Grandma, grandpa, aunts , uncles, cousins, but most important no mom or dad.  And they don't know why.  But this new pill will make you forget your parents and family.

Now on to adoption.  The adoptees and the agency who adopts  the child out are paid huge funds to adopt children in state care.  Why because all these children are in need of a home.  Most of the time they are put in worse situation than they were in.  But hey money was made and that makes it OK.

I encourage parents to Home School their children get them all out of the public hands.  You have control at home.  The constitution guarantees that.  At school you will never see them again once they are gone.

When mine were little, I abused them every chance I got.  I whipped their ass when they needed it.   I let them ride in the back of a truck, swam in a lake, played outside unsupervised, walked to the store by themselves, took whiskey, peppermint and lemon for a cough, drink from a water hose, oh and rode in the back window of a car,  did not wear a seat belt or sit in a booster seat.  Sat in the car while I went in to pay a bill.  OH Yea and I really commited the worst offense of all.  I did not give my children cell phones or cable.  they had to entertain themselves.  The concept today is to put no stress on the child.  Don't correct them don't whip them , don't let them do anything that will make them a free thinker or show them they can solve a problem.  Instead the children today stand up to their parents and say go ahead and i will call CPS.    And the parent cowers.  The child has won. Or the child ends up thinking their parents don't love them because they do nothing.
This societal mess has made thugs out of the children.  Children have no thought process or ability to even count. But they are passing in school.  While the parent takes the blame for the mess the government has made.  Please if you get nothing else out of this contact your home school agency and home school your kids.  It only takes a couple of ours a day not all day.  And yuou can even have someone else do it or get lessons online.
Stop the process of Dumbing Down America. Show you are in control of your children.  Don't let the state make money off your kids.

Waking up after life has started racing by

I have reached a point in my life where finishing some unfinished business has become more important than having fun.    Finishing some of this stuff has a high price though.   However  in the spirit of "cleaning up my life." I have decided that there is a twofold process that i must endure to accomplish two tasks.

First, I have spent many years collecting tons of fabric that i have absolutely no idea what to do with. And some of it I cannot imagine why it even came home with me.  Maybe my taste has changed.

Second I have to pay for college.  I am five classes from finishing my associates degree. And I start the summer semester in two weeks.  Without a job.  Now this is not much to someone .  But to me it is a very awesome thing.  Not many people know why.  But i will keep that to myself for now. I want to graduate in the spring.

So my goal is to sell as much fabric, that i don't love, and can bear to part with.  I have spent the last two days going through, sorting and measuring.  Then taking pics and listing.  I am making a dent in my stash and hopefully lining my college account.  I so far, once the people pay, have almost half of one class funded.  I am so excited.  And that is just one day.  I am feeling this huge relief from all the decluttering.

Wish me luck.

Having Fun

Sometimes you just have to be a good sport and cut loose.
In today's rush rush, hurry hurry society we find ourselves at times wishing for a few moments.  A few moments where we don't have to worry with bills, kids, phones, or the ever growing to do list.  A moment where its all about loosening the chains we have created for our selves.  Letting go of the day to day stresses and transforming ourselves into a new character even if for a brief period.
We tend to lose who we really are when what everyone else wants, becomes more important than ourselves.  When their problems become ours because we feel the need and make a choice to become involved in their crisis without even thinking about ourselves.
I have been working on myself for a couple of months now.  When i can't get other peoples drama or business out of my head.  I sit back in a chair, close my eyes and picture a room with a trap door in it.  Then i picture that person or thing, then i picture myself opening the trap door, tossing them out and closing the door.  ( Looking down my trap, it is dark and makes this really loud sucking sound. I love this sound.)
Now you have to look around that room and make sure nothing is lurking and if there is get rid of it also.
Now go have some fun.  Get a silly hat or wig.  Wear something that would mortify your family.  Just whatever you do enjoy it.

Until next time Have a wonderful day.
