The Living Journal of Iris

My name is Iris. I am the wife of an amazing Husband of 17 years. The mother of four wonderful girls (all grown and gone.) And 12 even greater grand children (moving ever so fast towards adulthood.)

No,life is not a box of chocolates it is more like this huge roller coaster and we just roll with the twist and move on. You cannot control people or things, only how you react to the person or situation.

Ghost Hunting

Yesterday up until 1:30 this morning, I was visiting with a group known as Arkansas Ghost Hunters.

It was a great evening, very relaxed. Their style is prove it. And I like that.

Now I did learn that smoke is just that usually.  ( I will give you three guess what this is, the first two don't count.)

And Orbs are often times dust. (This was riding on the back of the vehicle on a dirt road.)

Then there is the unexplained.  The photo below was taken at Rosemont.  However since the mind can play tricks and i need proof.  I will reserve my opinion until i have more people look at it.  And if I can get a taker we will be going back to see if we can recreate the event.

Another reason not to commit to what you think you see, until it is investigated.  I can now explain the light on the right.  I went back during dusk.  Turns out there was a water tower that blinked.  I happen to have caught it blinking in the first picture.

Then there is the blue orb like object at  Mt Olive

There are several pics that are different but we will see what the team says.  This is at Rosemont.

This just looks strange.  It was dark and I don't know what would have been reflective or lit up on this headstone at Mt. Olive.

At any rate the only thing that scared me was a unknown type of large cat screaming in the distance.  That was bone chilling.  But i got over it soon enough.  Until next time.

When you are Happy

A few years ago I was fearless.  It was nothing for me to be on the roof trying to cut limbs from the big oak tree that hangs over the roof of our home.  I was ok with this though,  because I had always had to play the mommy and daddy role in my life.
Anyway, one day I was up on the roof working on the vents.  I saw my friend the mailman coming up the road.  He was a kind man who was about to retire so I really wanted him to know how much I appreciated him for his years of service..  As he pulled up at our home.  I waved and and said hello, where I thought I was, I have no clue.  I walked right off the roof and fell smack dab at his feet.  He was so worried about me. And of course I was stunned and mortified.  Who walks right off a 15 ft roof.  I sure gave him something to remember me by.  And, I will never forget it either.

Life in the Moment

There is nothing funnier than watching the " babies" play.  You don't usually think about the fact that dogs or cats for that matter.  Do not have hands to play tag or catch.  Instead everything they do is with their mouths.   These two on this day were so dang cute.  The one on the right is about half the size of the other one.  Even though they are the same age.  Faith the little one would run and attack Carmin.
It brought back memories of when we brought faith home.  She would just clamp onto Carmin's jawl and go for a ride.  Carmin would run to get away but Faith would not let go.
